  32.       This coverage contains points that describe centerpoint
  33.       locations of and primary commodity produced by oil and gas
  34.       fields of the Asia Pacific Region  (Australia, Brunei, Cambodia,
  35.       China, Fiji, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia,
  36.       New Caledonia, New Zealand, North Korea, Papua New Guinea,
  37.       Philippines, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Taiwan,
  38.       Thailand, Tonga, Vanuatu and Vietnam).
  39.     Purpose:
  40.       To delineate the centerpoint locations of and primary commodity
  41.       produced by oil and gas fields in Open File Report 97-470F Maps
  42.       Showing Geology, Geologic Provinces, and Oil and Gas Fields of
  43.       the Asia Pacific Region, which is being compiled as a reference
  44.       for the U.S. Geological Survey's World Energy Project assessment
